As president of the Island of Hawaii Chapter, I’d like to welcome you to our website.
After experiencing vision loss as a child and blindness as an adult, I’ve had to face many challenges in my life. However, I decided to fight for the things I believe in and make a difference in the lives of others. Whether it’s by mentoring someone who is blind or visually impaired or simply answering questions about blindness, I make the effort to educate the public about blindness. I often find myself saying to people that “We blind people have the right to be different but, want the opportunity to be equal.” This is something that I strive to make happen, the right for the blind and visually impaired to be equal along side our sighted neighbors. more

Get involved and make a difference. Anyone can join the NFB Hawaii Island Chapter whether sighted, visually impaired, or blind. You can also help by making a donation to our local NFB Hawaii Island Chapter.
